Roots and Shoots FlourishFest 2025

Join us at Roots and Shoots' for our wonderful annual community event FlourishFest, a joyous spring day where we open our gates for all on Sunday May 18th 2025. Visit our UNESCO award-winning gardens and enjoy flower-power-inspired nature and creative activities, workshops and talks on urban gardening and stalls featuring delicious food and garden paraphernalia.

Across the site in our gardens, we'll be running a mix of wildlife activities and sessions including looking at aquatic life in our pond with pond dipping, identifying and drawing moths caught in our gardens, taking a look inside the hive with our beekeepers, and helping us plant a new pollinator paradise in collaboration with the charity Earthed.

We're also running a selection of brilliant creative activities for all ages, which include creating floral crowns with our expert florist and making wildflower animal seedbombs. Entertainment will include dancing around the May pole, live music, and our classic storytelling under the oak tree.
