Roots and Shoots Goes Wild! 2024

We are excited to invite you to Roots and Shoots' annual autumnal community gathering, Roots and Shoots Goes Wild!, on Sunday, October 6th. Come explore our UNESCO award-winning gardens as we celebrate the vibrant wildlife and natural beauty of the season. The day promises a variety of nature-centric activities, engaging workshops, enlightening tours, and stalls filled with garden delights and delicious grub.

Nestled in the heart of the city, Roots and Shoots is a flourishing oasis that has transformed a once-polluted brownfield site into a thriving habitat for diverse wildlife. This year’s event features special furry, scaly and many-legged guests from Wild Science, who are excited to meet our community and teach us all about food webs!

Throughout the gardens, we'll host an array of wildlife activities tailored for all ages. Join us for a wildlife hunt across the Wild Garden, support our pollinator friends in a bug hotel-making workshop, design your own birds, bugs and blooms, enjoy captivating storytelling sessions beneath our majestic oak tree, and much more! 

We are also thrilled to announce that due to its popularity at FlourishFest this past May, we will once again have beautiful live music playing across the gardens throughout the day, providing a rare opportunity to relax and enjoy the romance of the season in central London.
